After you've trawled thru all the parts for them both, you can tell us, JJJ. :D It could be something as simple as different lighting for different regions.

    OBD2 error code scanner

Jon, re-reading your post and that you just got the bike from a Honda you should perhaps take it back. Does it come with any warranty from the dealer?

Jon, good luck with the dealer. They will probably be unfamiliar with the process and you will have to pay for their learning time. l suggest you do it yourself at least for now.

No we can't. The only diagnostic connector is a red one under the seat. Use the detailed procedure in the FSM. What's the problem with the bike? My efforts in diagnosis from reply 38. https://www.dn-01.net/threads/buyers-guide-common-faults.2889/page-2

    fuel guage blinking issue

As we hadn't heard back from marcusdn I sent him a PM to ask for an update. This was his reply: remove fuel pump, clean tank and strainer. reinstall back and drop in new fuel. all is running well for now. Fuel gauge not blinking anymore. Very interesting that this fixed it - good for him. (y)

    Original semi-rigid side cases

No I don't but there are some here on the forum and internet if you search. I have a set of panniers as they are the same (Givi model number) as what came on my 2009 Can-Am Spyder but the Dino brackets are NLA.

I doubt it give what you have described, but it's cheap and easy to do. If you do a search for plug caps it should come up.

No more from me, sorry. It's an odd type of fault which could prove difficult to resolve.

    fuel guage blinking issue

Yes. That needs to be done when the failure occurs to help identify what is going on. That's the only suggestion l can make because it's such an odd problem.

No, but a faulty relay will.

Have you swapped some relays yet?

    fuel guage blinking issue

Now looking at the wiring diagram, I'd swap the Fuel Pump relay around with one of the others to see any change. The relays are all the same from what l can determine. Fuel pump and gauges are shown in the centre of the wiring diagram. .

    fuel guage blinking issue

If the simple things don't fix it, it requires deeper investigation. The fuel pump is controlled by the ECU. The fuel gauge however, it not - well, that's my understanding. So it seems odd that both pump and gauge 'misbehave.' It's time to get your digital multimeter and do some voltage...
