    N/D switch

You take your chances using electrical spray cleaner. Don't believe the kill switch IS the problem. Sometimes the N/D switch is 'slow' in switching or the HFT oil level sensor gets 'flaky' because the bike's angle is too great. (Been there .... had to sit the bike upright for a few minutes for...

    N/D switch

The forum covers that ... YOU just need to read some of the suggestions 'that work' for your problem. LEARN to ALWAYS make sure that the bike in 'N' PRIOR to shutting it off!

Original keys lost. Have new barrel and new keys and key code. Going to work?

NO HISS that I know of here in The States. Had a backup (spare) key made for my bike when I got it. Key shop just cut a Honda blank key and I use this key whenever I take the Dino out into the world! (It works EVERYTHING the original key does!)

    Stuck in D mode

Yes, It's a good habit to get into ESPECIALLY as the Dino ages. ALSO, do NOT use the kickstand OR the RED kill switch to shut the bike down. (I have heard some people have had problems IF they do) Use the key!

    Stuck in D mode

EXCEPT the few times many of us have learned to push the N/D selector in 'N' prior to turning the bike off, else we get the flashing '-' in the display, as the bike gets older! (tricks of the trade)

    Stuck in D mode

It's probably something ELSE that gets worn the many times we use it! (Like the HFT)

    Stuck in D mode

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting, might help reset the HFT. I had a similar problem, the N/D switch was acting 'flaky,' wouldn't go into 'N' from 'D.' (maybe the switch went bad or just hung up)

    Stuck in D mode

What was done before the bike was 'stuck in D mode?' Did you just turn the key and it was in D mode already? Something had to have happened to cause the bike to be stuck in D mode. Did you follow the 'unspoken rule' of ALWAYS putting the bike in 'N' prior to turning the bike off? (As the Dino...
