I Know the DN-01 would get higher hp and gas mileage if you remove all
smog/catalytic converter parts. This engine is really smothered. Gas mileage will really go up the most. This motor has a SAS system on it!
I have other motorcycles in my garage that came with these systems too. The SAS or secondary air system works with the 9 lbs catalytic converter in the exhaust pipe. I removed the system from my KTM 950sm and it runs much better. It gets 3mpg more now and the motor runs cooler with the cat removed from the muffler. Im looking into the way to remove the SAS , smog canister and catalytic converter from the DN-01. I think this bike should be getting about 57 mpg.
