Had an altercation

Last Saturday night I left a great birthday party. I was enjoying the cool night air, traveling down a smooth stretch of 4 lane highway doing about 60 mph.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Rocky Raccoon make a mad dash from the median. We tried to occupy the same space at the same time, but I prevailed.
I managed to pull off the road and turn on the flashers. After just washing the bike and changing the oil I was pissed off at Rocky.
The impact shattered the lower left cowling and the piece below the radiator.
Looks like about $300 worth of damage. Could have been worse. Anybody else had close encounters with critters?

Glad you are OK . Just a couple of groundhogs got close to me but no impact yet . Not so lucky with my bicycle .

We have some big raccoons around here. I think this one had visited the BBQ restaurant

I bought the replacement parts from Babbetts, recieved them Thursday. Test ride was Saturday morning. Good as new! Cost me $210 plus my labor. If I went to a dealer, I would still be waiting and it would cost $600 +. I'm on the rode agin and riding to Nashville next week.
