hft transmission broken bearing separator failure :(

Hi,
Two friends have already separator bearing separators break which damaged the bearing.
The problem is that our gearbox bearings are unique, the dimensions are designed exclusively for HFT DN-01 Honda, and they're not available for sale.
There are no original part numbers.
If anyone has encountered this, we'd appreciate any help.

Surely there must be a bearing manufacturer somewhere that would have it in their inventory? Do you have the sizes that can be looked up in an online catalogue? Inner diameter, outer diameter, width?

That's an 'interesting' failure!!! What symptoms did it show?

The first report of such a failure on the Dino and yet you say 2 with the same failure. What had they done to cause this - rode it like they stole it? Very curious.

One had 170,000 km on it, the other even more.
When the motorcycle was running, a rustling noise appeared in the engine.

Yes, this is a standard bearing and it is available to order, but there are some that are not, apparently made only for the Honda factory

Thanks, Freddy. I also found a complete motor, but with shipping, its price is comparable to a Boeing wing.

We're currently deciding how to resolve the issue with standard bearings, as this could likely happen to any of us, and buying a complete motor isn't the best option for us all.

Hi, everyone,
I'm actually rebuilding the HFT unit (2009, 144.000km) with new bearings and I use bushings (as sleeves) where you can't find the exact inner diameter.
IMHO the worse part is that you have to take the motor out of the bike, split the crankcase in order to get all the HFT unit out (and oil pump too btw).
So, new complete motor joint kit (it's the same as Transalp 700 and Deauville 700) , valve retainers, don't forget to inspect the oil pump and clean the strainer (which will be full of metal particles and hopefully any damage inside the pump), valve clearance adjustment, etc...
Lot of work, could be a pain in the ass, but with a lot more of patience and service manual you can achieve that and many more.
Basically you have to rebuilt the entire motor, but it will be like new again.

I didn't find the exact measure with the 26x72x19 (ordered 30x72x19), so I must order a 26x30x18 bushing:

Any complete kit of gaskets could be good, but better find a reputable one.
Don't forget the water pump joint (19226-MEH-000), flush and clean very well all the parts, apply molybdenum grease for all inner bearings.
And what I told before, lot of patience to do all the handmade work with the service manual in front of you permanently.
I still have to install everything together back to the bike, all my fingers are crossed.

Hello, it must be the same or less width because you have to install the retainers and only could be fitted in their exactly place (if it's less, search for a washer to match the final width).
