OBD2 error code scanner

No we can't. The only diagnostic connector is a red one under the seat. Use the detailed procedure in the FSM.

What's the problem with the bike?

My efforts in diagnosis from reply 38.

Hi Freddy
In this forum I read that a guy used the Healtech OBD scanner, but that this scanner deleted calibration data and was Not safe.

I was wondering if Healtech was the only OBD scanner. I now see the paperclip trick.

I have just bought the bike & on theway home from the Honda shop, I had a “-“ flashing sign and could not switch to D. I pulled over, did not stop the engine , then when I tried to put it back in D, I could not.
To fix this I stopped the engine with the key and turned back on, all was ok then.

Honda shop will now check the bike.

Cheers Jon

Jon, good luck with the dealer. They will probably be unfamiliar with the process and you will have to pay for their learning time. l suggest you do it yourself at least for now.

Jon, re-reading your post and that you just got the bike from a Honda you should perhaps take it back. Does it come with any warranty from the dealer?

I had the same issue for a while I took it to a garage they found the engine oil sensor was not earthed so it look like no oil was in the engine hope this helps

Conclusion is that this “-“ happens when I put the kickstand down before putting bike into “N”.
This is my scooter habit.
I have tested the manual change quite a lot and it changes gear quickly up and down.
Case is closed for now.

I took the bike back to the dealer for flickering abs light, and he found a broken connection - all good now.

On the way home the oil light came on. I put 0.125 litres of Auto 10w-50 in. The garage had no motorcycle oil. I now have bought proper MA2 grade bike oil for further too ups. My paranoid self thinks I should replace all the oil now, but 0.125 wrong diluted by almost 4 litres of bike oil sound ok to me. Using the dipstick with clean oil on the DINO is not so easy I find.
Now I must monitor the oil to check for consumption.

But I really like my new bike
