Can anyone decipher this code?

Hi - Is that display permanently showing, with the D, S and 8? If there's a code to be seen, it's after the "reboot" of the dash, the centre bar of the 8 will flash a bit like morse code - short flashes and long flashes that repeat. That's what a code should look like. Always keep the kill switch in the "On" position.

Having cogitated on that pic above for some time today I realised, as does Bob, that it's the reboot cycle of the dash when the ign is turn ON.

Burchsc - is that as far as the reboot goes and stays like that when you turn the key on?

To display active fault codes, a jumper wire first needs to be inserted into the diagnostic connector (as detailed in the FSM) then you can read the flashes like Bob says. The FSM has a couple of misprints in the code number, however, but that not relevant for now.

yesterday the DS8 stayed on…today the DS8 went away and the flashing dash appeared and remained flashing at about one second intervals continuously the display is the same with kill switch on or off I took a video but I can’t figure out how to share it on this site

Rather than uploading a video, you should be able to count the different short duration and long duration flashing "-"
From a previous post on this site: "Codes are flashed out with blocks of ten in long (1~ second) flashes and blocks of 1 in short (under half a second) flashes, for example two long flashes followed by six short flashes would be a fault code of 26."

It’s all one second flashes with no breaks or patterns I ran the video for thirty seconds

OK. What are the symptoms? Does the engine run at all? If not, it may need an HFT reset.

You need to do it and tell us what the code is. We can't help you without it.

Ok Burch - I'm trying to be helpful, I really am. I said: You need to do it... so that YOU can become familiar with the procedure because it's gonna be you to fix your own bike - with our collective help, hopefully. :) So please learn how to do it.

I'll get back to you soon with more details but mention has already been made of you checking the swash plate motor - remind me of the result.

Hey Burch - read this topic from about reply 41. That should solve the 45-1 fault.

You initially posted your troubles on FB. I directed you to this forum but I seem to remember suggesting that you remove the swash plate motor and checking it for easy rotation and also the gear that it engages into. Did you do that yet?

Hi everyone,
I had a similar issue, the swash plate motor jammed,
I removed the small motor, turned the swash plate inside, put the motor back and initialized the swash plate position.
